Payments, Delivery, Cancellation & Refund

Payments

Payments can either be made in store, over the phone or bank transfer. We do not accept Cheques. 
For payments made via bank transfer, order would not be processed or confirmed until payment has been received. For in store payments,
a non-refundable 50% deposit would be required at time of booking. With the balance required 2 weeks to delivery.

 

Cancellations

In the unforeseen event that you would need to cancel your order, we unfortunately are unable to give a payment refund. We will however be able to give you the option to either move the collection or delivery date to an alternative date or you can receive a refund in the form of a voucher which will have a 24 months validity. The voucher can only be used in our online store.

For wedding cake orders, we strongly advise you to pay the £50 non-refundable deposit when placing your order rather than paying the full amount. This deposit is a booking fee that secures your date and will be deducted from the total cost of the cake. The balance for your wedding cake will be required 2 months to your wedding. You can either call the shop to pay that balance at this time or someone will contact you when the balance is due. In the event that the wedding is cancelled, the £50 deposit would not be refundable.

Returns

If there are any problems with your order please inform us within two hours of receiving your cake(s) or return your cake to our Premises. Photographic evidence or a sample of the cake is essential, as this will help in resolving any problems. 
We will rectify it where possible or give a refund. A full or partial refund is determined by the nature of the problem, as discussed with the client at the time. Please note, cakes already consumed cannot attract a full refund. Amount of refund (where applicable) is dependent on management’s discretion.

Delivery

We offer delivery services within Aberdeen city from £3.99 (Free delivery to Portlethen). We offer free delivery service & set up on Wedding cakes within Aberdeen. A delivery charge from £30  is applied to Aberdeenshire Venues. In the event that the Client chooses to pick up their cake(s), O’Caykx would not accept liability for cakes damaged in transit. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after cake has been picked up, delivered or setup (where applicable). You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s).

If your order is to be delivered to a third party, it is your responsibility to ensure the person is available to receive the delivery. as cakes are perishable, we cannot guarantee a repeat delivery, as we might not have any available delivery slot. It would usually be recommended that the undelivered cake be collected in store. If a re-delivery is required, and slots available, you would be charged for the re-delivery, i.e. same fee as the initial delivery charge

We photograph most of our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. Please ask a member of staff for information about allergens in our products, or inform us of any allergies at booking . You are responsible for informing your guests of potential allergens. We would not be liable for any allergic reactions that may as a result of this omission .
For payments made via the phone or bank transfer, payments stand as a receipt and agreement to our terms and conditions
